Program Description
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration program prepares qualified students for leadership positions in the 21st century global marketplace. Such leaders will need to balance the goals of economic success with the constraints of greater social and environmental responsibility. Students are instructed by distinguished faculty and learn to integrate changing human and information resources with continually developing technologies, while nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit that has always been the key to successful business and management operations.

Atlantis University’s Business Administration degree prepares students for a career in the different areas of business. Students are offered a well-rounded business education with management, marketing, economics, accounting, statistics and law courses.
In addition, students select one of five concentrations: Management, Economics, International Business, Marketing and Public Relations. These concentrations allow students to specialize in a business discipline and enhance their career opportunities within that field.

Students will acquire the critical knowledge and skills needed to integrate management, marketing, international business, and economic concepts to develop strategies to improve short-, medium-, and long-term organizational performance. Upon completion of the Business Administration Program, students may seek employment in business, government, or a variety of industries where ranges of business skills are needed.

Business Administration Program Objective
  • Analyze the external and internal influences on business institutions and practices.
  • Identify the structures in business organizations that can be managed for productivity.
  • Differentiate the roles and tasks of business leaders and professionals in business, industry and non-profit organizations.
  • Use technology and resources to remain current in the student’s chosen business field.
  • Make effective business decisions using appropriate analytical and critical thinking processes.
  • Identify and analyze legal or ethical issues that arise in business practices and institutions.
  • Demonstrate effective written communication skills in a business environment.
  • Enter a graduate level program without further academic preparation.
Business Administration Coursework
When you specialize your business degree in Business Administration, your course work may include some of these career-enhancing courses:
  • Consumer Behavior – Students in this course analyze consumer-purchasing behavior as it relates to development of marketing mix programs. Important considerations include economic, psychological, cultural and social factors.
  • Project Management – Addresses the importance of project management. Topics include roles and responsibilities of a project manager, project environment and developing quality project teams, five steps of a project, construction of a network diagram and introduces analysis techniques such as CPM and PERT.
  • International Entrepreneurship – Harvard Business Review Study Cases that analyze existing business operations in different geographic locations. The course emphasizes the study of culture and innovation as key factors to succeed in international locations.
  • E-Commerce Management – This course focuses on formulating and implementing a plan consistent with a company’s long-range corporate objectives taking into account ecommerce principles and trends. Students study the global competition issues and develop strategies that provide sustained competitive advantage through technological awareness.
  • Money and Banking – Roles of money and credit in the American Economy, impact of monetary factors on income and prices. Topics: money, interest rates, foreign exchange, international finance system, bank management, Federal Reserve System
  • Economic Issues – Study of current economic events in the United States. Topics include the Federal Reserve, Wall Street, and economic factors influencing society.
