General Requirements for International Students

All applicants must be at least 18 years old or have written permission to enroll in Atlantis University from a parent or legal guardian.

All applicants must provide an official copy of their high school diploma or GED. For students who may have completed their secondary education in another country, official documentation confirming  their graduation credentials is  also required.  (All paperwork must be submitted in English.)

All applicants must provide a copy of their current passport photo as well as the personal information (name, address, date of birth, etc.) that typically appears towards the front of the document.

All applicants are required to pay a $100 (USD) application fee, as well as make a refundable, $300 (USD) tuition deposit.

In compliance with U.S. regulations , applicants may need to pay a Homeland security fee. An admissions representative at Atlantis University can help you determine whether or not this applies in your individual case.

All applicants are required to have an in-person or telephone interview.

Applicants interested in transferring credits must provide official transcripts from other licensed or approved post secondary schools.  In order for transfer credits to be accepted by Atlantis, the university must first evaluate them and determine that the coursework in question meets U.S. standards of higher education. (All paperwork must be submitted in English.)

Applicants who speak English as a foreign language must have a satisfactory pass on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam in order to display evidence of English proficiency. In lieu of the TOEFL exam, the university may also consider an alternate proof of English competency. For additional information, please contact AU Admissions.

All diplomas, transcripts, and other official documentation must be sent directly from the granting institution to Atlantis University. Please use the address listed below:

Financial Requirements

Atlantis University works with students on an individual basis in order to offer flexible payment options and plans. That said, in order to be admitted to Atlantis University, every international applicant must prove that he or she will have the financial resources needed to cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and personal living expenses. This proof must be provided in the form of one or more bank statements showing recent deposit / withdrawal activity, and – in cases where financial support is expected to come from a family member or a sponsor – an Affidavit of Support indicating that sufficient funds will be made available to the prospective student.

Immigration Requirements
Once an international applicant has been admitted to Atlantis, the university – upon request for a student visa – will issue an I-20 form. The newly-admitted student must then present the I-20 document to a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in his or her native country in order to actually obtain the visa.  The admission materials that Atlantis sends out to new students includes additional information about  this procedure. You can also learn more about the I-20 by clicking Here
Application Deadline
Atlantis University is an open enrollment institution, which means that students can sign up to start taking classes any month of the year. However, international applicant must  submit all required materials  at least three months prior to their intended enrollment date. This deadline is in place  so that the university can fully process applications and issue an I-20 Form. Furthermore, it gives students the time that they will need to secure a student visa from the U.S. Embassy in their home country and make necessary travel arrangements.

Atlantis University is an open enrollment institution, meaning you may start class any month of the year!
Admision Notification

Once all of your application materials have been submitted and reviewed by Atlantis, the university will make an admissions ruling and then notify you of its decision. If AU does offer you admission to the school, you will subsequently receive a formal letter of acceptance, an I-20 Form, instructions for enrollment, and important information about travel documents.

Transfer from International Institutions
Credit from non-U.S. colleges/universities must be translated and evaluated to show course equivalency to a higher education institution in the United States. The transcript must be fully translated into English and evaluated by an authorized translator.
