Program Description
The ability to successfully market and sell a product or service is the foundation for nearly every business, resulting in a high demand for professionals with strong marketing skills. Because the marketing function must interact with and understand diverse areas of the business, it can also be a strong entry point from which to advance a business career. The ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY marketing and public relations degree provides opportunities to work on practical cases and acquire research, communication, marketing strategy, and project management skills necessary for effective marketing and selling. Through elective courses, you can choose to focus on the fundamentals of sales and marketing, or delve deeper into areas like marketing strategy, international marketing, customer behavior, services marketing, or public relations. People who choose this specialization are often interested in pursuing entry-level or senior professional positions in marketing, sales, advertising, corporate communications, events, or public relations.

The Marketing and Public Relations Concentration offers students specific tools in managing production and product development, distribution, and all forms of communication with customers. Every firm, whether a manufacturer, retailer, wholesaler or service provider needs marketing people to discover, measure, and analyze markets; develop and manage products and services; manage sales; establish coherent pricing policies; and maintain positive customer relations.

  • Analyze the external and internal influences on business institutions and practices.
  • Identify the structures in business organizations that can be managed for productivity.
  • Differentiate the roles and tasks of business leaders and professionals in business, industry and non-profit organizations.

  • International Marketing – Providing a conceptual framework for marketing internationally, whether exporting or establishing a multi-national enterprise (MNE), this course explores development of international marketing programs as well as various macro environmental factors that affect decision-making in an international setting.
  • Creativity, Innovation and New Product Development – Concentrating on creativity and innovation as tools for marketers and small business managers, students in this course identify opportunities for using these processes and apply them to implement and expand product lines in corporate and entrepreneurial ventures as well as to introduce new products.
  • Personal Selling - The Development Of Effective Salesmen/Customer Relationships Is Emphasized. Selection, Training, And Motivation Of The Sales Force, And The Relationship Between Personal Selling And The Other Elements Of Marketing Strategy Are Analyzed.
