ATLANTIS UNIVERSITY (AU) - BACHELORS PROGRAMS

Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design
Imagine a creative design school that fits your goals.

Program Description
AU’s Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design imparts the creative, technical, and communication skills  that are needed to achieve success in the dynamic and ever-growing field of graphic arts.  Through a combination of theoretical and hands-on learning, students gain fluency in the principles and methods of visual communication.  Our curriculum is comprehensive, and carefully investigates basic design conventions, color theory, typography, advanced production techniques, as well as industry-related technology and software solutions.

The Graphic Design program at Atlantis University is for individuals  who have a native interest in colors and fonts, and the designs on packages, labels, video games, and other media.  Since Graphic Design is a discipline that is both aesthetic and technical in nature, our courses teach how to effectively communicate a visual message by fusing creative expression with the tools of technology.  Some of the specific course topics included in the degree program are typography, illustration, and package design.

Much like many of the other degrees available at Atlantis, students have the option to take courses at our Miami, Florida campus, or online.  Additionally, individuals who already possess  an Associates (60 credit hours) in Computer Information Technology, or an equivalent degree, can petition to transfer many of their previously-earned credits. Those students can then complete the Bachelor's program in Graphic Design by taking whatever additional courses are needed to earn a total of 123 credit hours.
